What does Agilus mean?

We often get asked the question, what is the origin of Agilus? Why did we choose that term for the name of our business?

In short, Agilus is latin for Agile.

Agile is an important term in our business and underpins how we interact with our clients. Our team has spent years working with and for organisations dominated by strict processes and procedures. This can quickly manifest into a culture where it becomes difficult to respond to change. When an organisation cant rapidly respond to change, it can quickly get left behind.

Our experience is that when using an ‘agile’ philosophy, an organisation can truly operate in a manner and culture that will see it achieve its goals. It will retain a culture that can quickly and positively respond to change.

So what is an ‘agile’ philosophy?

It is simply whatever works for that organisation to identify the right change, the right process to make the change happen, and the most effective manner of taking the team on the journey. The most important part of our role when working with our clients is to firstly determine the most effective method of causing change. This requires engagement, listening, watching and understanding to develop a process that will assist our clients, within the confines of their culture, habits and desires to cause change in the most effective manner possible.

Our experience shows that the best process to support a team to become more successful is to develop the process with them and for them.
